Polly Gentry is a Kansas abstract multi media artist. Her artistic process began as a child in Omaha, NE. Polly grew up in a home with a wonderful art collection which she would spend hours studying the intricate works of Picasso, Miro, Chagall, and more. Her father was a well known architect, Stanley J. How. His vision and gift to create amazing buildings gave Polly a good foundation about design and was her inspiration for her watercolor sketches.

Polly's art is characterized by vibrant colors, contrasting shapes, and whimsical compositions. She has exhibited her artwork in solo and group exhibitions in Kansas and Colorado. She has been juried and accepted into four national exhibitions. Polly’s artwork is in many private residences throughout the U.S. and is in several public collections including a 7 piece installation at the Capitol Federal Hall School of Business in Lawrence, KS, HopeNET in Wichita, Stratford Commons in Kansas City and most recently a large installation at Celebrity Cruise, Inc. in Wichita. She is currently a proud member of the Botanica Board of Trustees, and the Koch Cultural Trust Board.

“My artwork is simply paint that pours from my soul.” ~ Polly
